My dash gauge started reading about half the actual temp. Good reading on the Aladdin system

Can't remember last time I looked at dash gauges as the Aladdin is my go to at a glance while driving.

I too would like to know its location on a 1995 mechanical 8.3. My dash gauge first pegged twice and now reads between 150 and 160deg. Checking the actual temp with an IR thermometer shows that the block is running at between 180 and 190deg.

Andy, the location of sender unit location would be on thermostat housing on right
side of engine. (Looking from back of engine to front. ) 8.3 Cummins engine
