We purchased a new electric mattress pad as we burned up our electric blanket by forgetting that our inverter was on. Modified sine wave inverters do not like square sine waves. However we also had the same problem with our new electric mattress pad even though it was tuned off it still had power going to the controlls. I thought I would pass this learning experience on to all of you. If you have a pure sine wave inverter you should be ok.
