Dash Blower Motor Location???
« on: September 15, 2017, 06:55:54 PM »
Where are the dash blower motors located in a 2004 Beaver Marquis Garnet?  One of them has an annoying chirping sound and am thinking the bearing is getting week.  I found a post indicating that they are easy to replace and that they are standard GM blowers but am not quite sure exactly where they are?  Are they behind the center console table that contains the VCR?  How do I get to them?  Thanks

We had one blower replaced a few years ago.  I think there are two blowers (one for the left side dash and one for the right) and both are located centrally above the front heat register and behind the drawer and small table top right in the middle between the pilot and copilot's seats.  Mike Flowerday replaced ours after removing the two cabinet doors above the front heat register.  He also had to remove the DISH receiver, Bose control box and TV (roof) dish auto-aim control box in order to access the blowers.  I believe it was our right-side blower that went bad... and was making so much noise we couldn't hear the radio or each other while traveling.

Thanks David!  I was afraid they were located back there.  I've had those doors off more times than I care to remember...  I was hoping that if located behind that cabin that there was a way to unbolt and move the cabinet far enough out to allow access.  As always.... thanks for the help.
