CAT 9 Valve adjustment
« on: August 23, 2017, 06:51:00 PM »
Good morning fellow Beaver parents!   ;) ;) I have been searching everywhere on this site related to valve adjustments, since I though I asked after being told my C9 needed it. I have looked in the manual which recommends every 15,000 do a "valve lash" inspect / adjust. Does this mean a value adjustment? My coach has about 51,000 miles. I am taking my Beaver 2005 Monterey C9 in for maintenance so should I ask? Thanking you in advance.

I did some checking last year when I was taking mine in for some maintenance and found that Cat recommended having the valve adjustment at 60,000 miles and since I had 58,000 i decided to have it done.

KC, our last valve adjustment by Peterson Cat in Eugene was 565.oo witch included a free oil change and lube done in July  of 2014. I saw that promotion running last year as well. The cost will depend on how easy your access is to the valves. Our 07 Contessa" has valve access through the rear engine compartment since we have a north / south bed.FYI
