Re: 2005 Beaver Monterey 37'

While in Waco, Texas I started running the kitchen slide in and it caught and popped.  I found the upper board, that holds the sliding mechanism for the hose gathering equipment, had snapped off the four screws that hold it to the inside bottom of the stove top counter top.  An RV repairman was able to screw the board back up and we tested it a couple of times and it worked fine.  Headed for Avon Park Florida, but a couple of nights later it caught and popped again.  Was able to nurse the slide in again by shaking the mechanism aggressively while slowly bringing in the slide.  I found two bent pins that are supposed to allow the mechanism to slide in smoothly.  Have left slide in for last several stops.  I have no idea what is catching and causing the hose gathering equipment to break, but the slide comes in straight and works fine.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thank you.  Tom
