We have replaced the step controller, put in a new motor, and new electrical connections. Each time a new problem arose.
First the stairs would thump 3-4 times after they retracted. New controller and the stairs thumped when they extended but not when retracted. Changed the connections. Now no power to the unit. Manual says an inline fuse is located on passenger side. Further research says its under dash. Nothing anywhere!!! Help.
Found it! On my coach, it is located on the passenger side as the manual says, but NOT under the dash. It is in the box in the engine compartment on the passenger side.
