ACD System Malfunction on ‘08 Marquis

The suspension rides very hard and ACD light flashes about every 10 seconds. Coming into NYC, the ride was very harsh where the front end slams and things moved in the rig that never moved before coming into the city. Is it possible an ACD malfunction can cause the shocks to be inoperative? If so, troubleshooting tips would be appreciated. Thanks as always.

Gary,
I know next to nothing about an ACD system but from what I saw on Bilstein's web site, a malfunction could certainly restrict shock travel, resulting in a rough ride. Do you know the manufacturer of the system used in your coach?

Did you try changing your shock setting from sport to comfort or vice-versa? Just guessing.

Another guess, check your front run bay for a Bilstien ACD controller. Since the dash light is blinking, you might have a diagnostic light or display on the controller that will lead you onward.

Don’t know if it’s Bilstein but will check and also look in run bay for a controller.

It’s a Bilstein System and didn’t find a controller in the front bay. I will contact Beaver and/or Bilstein on Monday and hopefully get some information on troubleshooting. Thanks for the input and I will pass on any information I receive. Thanks again. It seems my issues are never an easy fix.
