Washing machine started making loud metal on metal grinding noise.  Need to pull it out to find the problem. Anyone have comments on removing it.  2008 beaver contessa

James, Is yours a stacked set, with the dryer on top? In my 06 Patriot Thunder, once the dryer is removed the washer is easy.

If yours is a Splendide unit, call them; 1-800-356-0766

Their service guy might help you find out where the noise is coming from.

We pulled the stacked units out of our 2008 Contessa Pacifica and it was doable.  Definitely a two man job and tight.  Just had to tighten a hose and replaced.

With my 06 Patriot Thunder, the hard part was getting the dryer off the washer, lower the dryer all the way down, the wood piece at the top has two screws from the top holding it in place, once that is out, had two brackets screwed into the wall on each side and into the top of the dryer after those are removed, lift the dryer off the washer the hoses are long enough to get at the vent hose in the back to remove the clamp.
Now the washer is easy, but heavy.
