Victron Cerbo GX Touch 70
« on: May 11, 2026, 05:03:38 AM »
I recently had to change out my Silverleaf VMS320 for a newer version, which unfortunately no longer monitors tank levels. However, when I recently upgraded my system to LiPo batteries with a new MPPT solar charger by Victron, I decided to use the Cerbo GX system with the Touch 70 monitor (which incidentally fits in the opening left vacant by the VMS320). This allows me to monitor the solar charging, battery levels, charge rate, and coach and bay temps and humidity. In the future I will be able to also monitor the inverter data.

Recently, Victron updated the firmware for the system and allowing it to now link up with Shelly devices, such as automated relays and switches, Garmin devices, Apple Watch, tank monitors, etc. Exciting news for those interested in adding some automation to their coach.

For example, I am presently upgrading indirect lighting to LED strips, which will be centrally operated using Shelly RGBW relays. I am also using their relays to open and close all roller shades and blackouts. Theoretically, I could also control slide outs, awnings, thermostats, sound systems, etc. All this on the same touch screen or with voice commands. Functionality now somewhat affordably and accessible, previously found only on newer coaches.

The new control panel by Shelly is also worth checking out here: https://us.shelly.com/products/shelly-wall-display-xl-black
