Radiator Hoses
« on: September 08, 2021, 08:23:55 PM »
I am looking to replace my radiator hoses on my 2006 Monterey with a C9. Does anyone have any part numbers or where to source the hoses ? I might also replace the heater hoses as a winter project, I assume they are a standard hose size.  Is there anything I need to be aware when I accomplish this project?
Thanks

I have not changed mine yet, but I have seen many recommendations to replace existing radiator hoses with silicone hoses from HPS Performance products in City of Industry, California

If you do decide to go with silicone hoses be aware they require special spring loaded clamps to keep them tight as the silicone
Changes with temperature and bear clamps won't hold them tight.

The heater hoses are a big job as they run through the coach along the frame rail
It's doable but pack a lunch!!

Good luck

We replaced all of our hoses with mostly silicone hoses with the exception of the one from the recovery  tank which we could not find in silicone and based upon the price of the remaining short hoses was probably very expensive. Check very carefully the hose id's measurement as two of our 90 degree hoses had different id's
sizes at each end. Also be that if you have a plastic recovery tank it might be time to replace. Source Engineering in Veneta Oregon is one of many good resources for a replacement. Steve Huber warned me about this many years ago.

Grant, also check your hoses behind your Aqua Hot that heat your hot water while driving. We had several leaks that we repaired including 2 hoses that ran on top of our engine that had to be replaced. Fortunately , along the frame rails the rubber hoses trasition into a durable plastic hose material that is hard to get too but doable.
