Front door exterior grab handle
« on: August 16, 2011, 09:24:03 PM »
We have a new to us 2005 Beaver Monterey Laguna IV. I just noticed that the bottom elbow of the exterior grab handle/light (which appears to be constructed of some sort of pot metal) is corroded through on the back side. Hopefully the pics below will make it clear what I'm talking about. Does anyone know where I can obtain another one of these?

Craig,

I actually called Beaver (Monaco) and they directed to me to the folks who made the handle and sent me the whole mounting kit and handle.

The company name was Fleming sales company Inc  2101 industrial pkwy and is based in Elkhart Indiana.

I think the total cost was about $150.00 plus shipping.

Telephone 574-295-0234

Good luck

Tom

Craig,
There are two places that I would try. First is Northwest RV Supply in Eugene Oregon. Northwest buys the surplus parts from coach manufacturers when there is a design or model change. You can get new parts from them sometimes for as little as half price. The next is Beaver Coach Sales in Bend. If Beaver Coach Sales does not have the part that you need, they will be able to tell you where you can get it.

I had to replace ours (2001 Contessa) as it looked the same as yours. When I took it apart I realized it was a heavy duty plastic that had been chromed. We ordered a replacement from Beaver Coach Sales and got it the next day for about $85.00 total. Unfortunately we had ordered the tan version and decided to go black so I broke out the spray paint and took care of. Still looks good a year later.

Good luck, Steve

Hi,

try PPL motorhomes in Houston. 57 dollars plus shipping. I just ordered one today for my 02 contessa.
