Black tank flush replacement check valve?
« on: February 22, 2022, 06:12:29 PM »
The check valve to my black tank flush is stopped up or broke. Tried several things to clean it out but it still won't take water.  Looking for a replacement found this one but it's black and mine is grey... does that make a difference?

Mine actually split and started spraying water under the sink!!!!

I used a (1) male and (1) female 1/2 pvc fittings and a short section of pipe to replace it.  I decided to do that because i didnt want to cut the pex in order to twist the check valve fitting back on.  Less than $4 dollars to fix but that valve will work just fine

    Jeff,
I think what you are looking for is the vacuum breaker that is above the floor line. The flush water goes from the connection in the water bay to the vacuum breaker first and then to the flusher fittings attached to the waste tank. The reason for the vacuum breaker is to isolate the waste tank from the fresh water supply. Hope this helps, Fred
