Diesel Gel
« on: December 24, 2022, 03:04:27 PM »
FYI - You probably already know this but for those who are relying on a diesel fired heater, such as a Hurricane, sub zero temps will cause diesel to gel and the result is "flame out".  My 99 Marquis has a hurricane and when temps in Montana dropped to -37 degrees the diesel gelled and Hurricane flamed out.  When temps got above -10 degrees and after adding anti-gel solution the Hurricane came back on line.  In winter I use #1 or blend Diesel and add an anti-gel additive and all is well.  Merry Christmas.
