Dometic A/C issues
« on: August 09, 2023, 05:47:29 PM »
I am having an intermittent problem with the rear ac unit.

The unit is cooling properly, the fan works on hi  &
 low speed.
When the unit shuts off after reaching the correct temp, something isnt shutting down, a loud humming noise occurs in the lower unit and the only way to stop it is to shut off the breaker.
Is there a relay or something else to check thats causing this.

It happens sporadically and goes weeks without recurring.

I removed the lower anel and oened up the box with the relays on it. The compressor relay had a wire loose and now its working properly.

I finally decided to replace the circuit board in the control box on the rear dometic a/c unit. The problem with the compressor not shutting off is now fixed.
