New Front Tires

After some thought and feedback, I increased my front tire size from 295/80R22.5 to 31580R22.5.  I wasn't looking for the increased size, but rather a higher load rated tire.  Michelin's 315's are load range L rated at 9090 pounds @ 130 psi of a single axle.  Of course this tire change will not increase my maximum front axle weight carrying capabilities.  Rather, in my opinion, provide a better level of safety.  It's my understanding that Monaco has made the 315s standard on the front axle of some of their larger coaches, so I'm not paving new ground here.

The 295s are rated at 7830 @ 120 psi.  The front axle rating is 14,600.  Clearly the 295s should be adequate, but given the opportunity to go beyond adequate when it comes to safety, I will opt for going beyond adequate.  At 110 psi the 315s are rated at 7610 pounds.  As an aside, I can lower the pressure and achieve the same of greater weight carrying capability.  So, I get a little bonus as well--improved ride.
