Airfilters

I had the coach serviced last week, but but no one had air filter for it.  I came home and ordered a Donaldson filter off the internet.  Today when I pulled the old filter, it is a K & N Heavy Duty cleanable filter.  Has any one ever used this type filter?  Cost on Line 399.00 on sale for 299.25.  They have cleaning instructions online.  I'm thinking if you can clean this filter, I will clean and put in storage for when I need another
one..Thoughts on this???

Jim,
K & N filters are less restrictive and they will flow more air than a pleated paper filter, however they do not filter as well.

Jim, I have a K@N that the PO installed and intend to replace it with a real filter when we get home.  I have never been fond of the K@N style.

Thanks all for your input on air filters .  Will discard the K&N and stay with Donaldson.
