Anyone know a source for the flourescent light tubes (17") for the ceiling fixtures in an 07 Contessa?  Have checked many on line sources and cannot find a match.
The OEM tube is a Philips TLD 15 W/33 (made in Indonesia).  Thanks

You can also get them at HD or Lowes, I just changed mine to LED they work better then ever and no balast!

They are 15 watts in a T8 size and "Cool White"

I had replaced them one at a time and got all the colors.  I found some at an Ace on the Oregon coast at an unusually low price.  I bought enough that they all now match again!.

I bought mine at Quartzite from a vendor booth, I brought my fixtures to the show and he helped me rewire, at the same time I tested them all did work perfect. They are much brighter the the original bulbs.

The vendor E@ZRV Products www.eervproducts.com  I think he was asking 40.00/bulb but I paid 30.00/ bulb x 6

The 18" tubes he has on the web are differet the the tubes I bought at the tent show. Don Chin also has a full time spot at Tyson Wells his phone is 510 910 5397.

I used these bulbs http://www.rvledbulbs.com/product-p/18-0577.htm in one of my 12" fixtures over a year ago and have been very pleased with them.   I chose these because the lumen rating was almost exactly the same as the fluorescent it replaced (I didn't want it to be brighter).  The color temp is about the same also.  Since the ballast in the fixture had failed, the replacement with LEDs was about the same as the ballast replacement cost which would have also necessitated two new tubes.

Joel the LED is available in both cool and warm white I didn't set them up with dimer but if you like you could add this and the LED will dim.
I like it bright so have used a very bright LED with 4 strips of light in each tube, however they do offer a bulb that will output the same at the original tubes.

Jerry, I looked at those tubes....yikes, 980 lumens from 108 LED's???  Isn't that about 3X the original tube??

What did you mean you used 4 strips in each tube??  One thought about changing the brightness might be to change the rocker switch from on/off to a high/off/low rocker....should be simple to control either one or two tubes plus you can run each fixture at a different setting if so desired.

Hi Dick they make a single tube with 2 rows of LED or another with 4 rows running the length of each tube. I did look at Dons web site and see he now has another that has a single row of LED's. that are perpendicularly

I liked going to his display and looking at each light to compare them I did bring my fixture with me so I could see the actual results of each tube.

you could use a rocker or a dimmer if you like,my wife likes the light very low and does not use the ceiling fluorescent fixtures

We haven't had ours on except to test them, so I think my fluorescent tubes will last as long as I will need them.   Now are the LEDs to replace the halogen spots any good?

Keith I have replaced most of the halogen spots with the LED's it's been 2 years and yes they are working great. I made the change more for safety over energy savings. We really don't dry camp often, but I have always had concern about the heat of the halogen spots. The LED's run cool I have been happy with the results.

The hard part back then was to get the tablet close enough to the fire to enjoy an evening of reading.  Most of them were made of stone then.  And, it took a lot of stones to have much to read!

BJ says that today's tablets can melt if you get them close to the fire.
