Grey and Black Tank Readout Backward
« on: August 20, 2013, 04:59:59 AM »
On our '08 Thunder, we have two readout displays for our tank levels, one above the entry door and on in the water bay.  Probably not surprising, they don't read the same.  However, what I didn't expect was that on both displays, it appears that the black is actually measuring the grey and the grey display is really measuring the black.  When both tanks are near full, if I empty the black tank, the grey tank shows empty and vice versa.  I suspect that there is probably a central control where the leads from the tank terminate and then there are separate leads to the displays.  I wonder if these wires are perhaps crossed.  Anyone have an idea how these are wired in the later models and if they can me wired incorrectly and how I might correct this?  Thanks

I would suspect that the sensors on the two tank are the same type. If you visual them and they are the same, this may be a point that you could switch the wiring between the sensors. You could check with Monaco parts and see if the sensors have the same PN as another check.
