Owen,
Your problem may be that the the slide motor break isn't releasing. It needs a full 12V+ to disengage. First things I'd try is to be plugged into shore power or have the geni running to be sure you have a solid 12V+. If no joy with that, unscrew the bedroom slide switch and pull it out of the wall. There is a connector that attaches to the switch and then at the other end of the connector pigtail there are spade lug connectors where they transition from 12awg to the 14awg wire in the pigtail. This is often where the problem lies. Move the wires around a bit and see if the slide works. If so, you've got bad connections at the spade lugs. I removed mine and used wire nuts which were better but after a while, they also acted up. Ultimately I soldered the connections and that solved the problem.
Also, make sure you don't have the ignition on or the relay won't allow power to the slide circuit.
If you need to get moving quickly, you can lift the bed and remove the motor brake from the motor. It is at the end of the motor and held on by 2 screws. Mine had wing nuts. Take it off and the slide should operate normally. However, when moving, either reinstall the brake or use something to keep the slide from moving from side to side as this will cause it to begin to extend. Not good if you are underway. I cut a couple of sections of wood closet rod to length and covered the ends with sponge rubber to keep from marring the slide surface.
Good Luck, Steve
