I've not talked to anyone that switched to a Samsung that didn't like it.
Talk to Marty Schenck. He did his own conversion. He found a Samsung that was about the same cost as an Amish unit. He got it through the door OK and didn't have to do too much work.
He posted pictures and a report here about 6 months ago.
On edit: I searched "Samsung" and found Marty's report!
