Roof vent chalking
« on: July 22, 2015, 02:14:55 AM »
Was wondering what type chalking to use for the two vent pipes on the roof?  Dior was mentioned in some threads, but it is self leveling and the area that needs chalking is a little higher than the roof and will probably just run out of the joint.  The Manufacturer mentions an ACRYL-R, but it appears to be self leveling as well.

The Dior may make the smell better, but I doubt it will fill any cracks...  that's Christian Dior - right?

Mike, the roof sealant that I use is called "Dicor lap sealant" it is available in non-leveling or self-leveling dependent on the application. I prefer the non-leveling and use a 1 1/2 throw away paint brush to apply and smooth it out. It is available on Amazon or your local camping world or RV store.
