TRI Mark Keypad
« on: February 06, 2017, 07:21:03 PM »
I have a 2008 Beaver PT.
I have a TriMark grab handle with a keypad (door bell).  (the Grab handle hasn't worked sense I have owned the coach) I call TRI Mark and purchaseD a new keypad because I'm assuming that there is a problem with it because the key fob and the remainder of the system seams to be functioning using the fob. Nothing on the handle pad seams to works.
I checked the power and I have 12v.  So gave the information to TriMark and they sent me a new pad costing around 90.00 PN 24297-01.
After ordering  and receiving the new part...I disassembled the Handle and found the pad had a PN 21987-01   Trimark told me this PN is obsolete.  So decided to contact Monaco and they have the 21987-01 in stock and it costs 452.30 that's a far cry from 90.00. :o
Are there any other options before I spend 452.00 to make sure this is the problem?

Last year after a couple Houston rains our keypad started acting up.  After a day or two it dried out and would work properly again.  I took some Lexel and carefully finger smeared it all around the outside edge of the keypad.  It has worked well ever since.

Kevin,
If the pad Trimark sent you fits, I'd install it and try it before I threw any more $ at it.

Thanks for the comments :).
I installed the new pad today.
I did talk to Trimark again today and they said it should work. My big challenge is making sure a relay is installed for the doorbell or make sure it's inop.  All the wires are stuffed back under the passages side console next to the door.  Apparently if this isn't installed and the door bell is functioning it will damage the new pad. I'm programming tomorrow hopefully all goes well.
