OEM replacements for filters listed in Owners manual
« on: February 08, 2017, 01:33:02 AM »
I plan to replace some of the filters on our RV.
I found part numbers in the Owners Manual but have only located 1 of the needed filters online.
Can anyone help with updated or alternate OEM part numbers, or provide a website to cross reference these parts.
If you have a particular parts house or website where you order your filters, that would be appreciated as well.

1) Raycor  R 90 T             Fuel filter/water separator
2) Fleetguard FS 1022     Secondary fuel filter
3) LHASPE 15-10             Hydraulic filter
4) Fleetguard WF 2074    Coolant filter

Darrel,

Those are all good numbers, I dropped all of them into google and came up with the proper filters. I have used "Finditparts.com" for some of my filters, but I only purchase filters for the Cat from Cat.

Lee,
Thanks for the tip on Finditparts.com.
I found what I needed at a reasonable price.
Only needed to cross reference the LHA part to a Fleetguard part number.
Thanks again,

Darrell,

It has been awhile since there was a topic I could post to!

You appear to have found a supplier.  Maybe an alternate can help.

When we had our '04 Monterey I got frustrated by local suppliers that wanted to cross to their favorite brand.  One day I tried Amazon.  I ended up with a Fleetguard "shopping list" that was easy to repeat each year.  The actual supplier was a farm store in Nebraska and they would ship without charging sales tax!  It was convenient and well priced.  A bonus is that it can be done through the BAC connection and the club makes a few cents.

I need to replace the hydraulic filter on my 05 coach. does anyone have the OEM part number? And the big question is will the hydraulic reservoir completely drain when I drop the filter?
Thanks

Joe,

Early on with our '04 Monterey I had trouble finding the hydraulic filter with the book part number or the number painted on the original.  Turned out that the filter is so common on hydraulic machinery that there are a lot of sources.  It shows up on everthing from log splitters to backhoes.

Among the easiest to find was the NAPA 1551.  I never did find the OEM version.  Beaver may have bought a big supply from an industrial source.

To change it, I put a pan under the filter to catch spillage.  There was some, but not very much.  Just be ready to screw on the new one as soon as you get the old one off.

Use hose clamp pliers on the in and out hose and put 2 ball valves before removing the filter. Next time not as much fluid lose.

What type of ball valves did you use and where did you purchase them?
I finally found the replacement cartridge and it appears this one has never been changed. Mine is located on the drivers side down by the radiator which is below the oil tank.

Ours is located in the same place. Did ours back when we had about 50k on the coach and have 120k now , so we're do for filter change. Just looked back there and I only put one ball valve at the filter. The reservoir is above the filter and the cooler is even or slightly below the filter so I put it on the incoming and easier also. Clamped off the hose with hose clamp pliers and cut the hose about 3-4 inches above. That hose has a hose clamp at the filter.  Any hardware (Home Depot or Ace) would have a brass 3/4" ball valve with barbed ends. You also need two hose clamps to fit.

The filter must be on the return line.

It won't be under pressure, other than gravity, if the engine is not running.
