My 2001 Beaver Contessa has an Acme dash air system with a speed control switch for Off-Low-Medium & High speeds. It now runs only on High speed.  Believe on high it is 12 vdv direct and resister controlled on Low & Medium speeds.  Does anyone know where this resister assemble might be located on my 2001 Contessa and what I should be looking for to find it?  I suspect a resister or resisters are bad causing no blower operation on Low & Medium.

Ronald,
In my 2000 Marquis it was under the front cap on the driver's side mounted to a vertical brace. I'd start there in looking for yours.

Roland,

The high speed is direct 12v avoiding the resisters. Steve pointed out the typical mounting location. It could be a harness connection or the resister pack itself. These are not the ceramic resister type typically used in electronics. Look for what appears to be a set of coils. Something like this.

Found resister part assembly and removed.   Was located on a bracket in space between coach front and dash  It's bad resisted feed fried and rusted completly off connector to the plug spade assembly.  Now problem is finding a new one!   Auto parts can't find one.

Roland,
My 2000 Marquis used  Acme # D32H-19A706-AB.  Yours will depend on the number of terminals your resistor has. http://acmeairparts.com/rvacheaterparts.html#!/Electrical-Switches-Resistors-ect/c/16022557/offset=0&sort=normal

The Acme part number D32H-19A706AB is the same as mine.  Acme wants 32.00 to 42.00 for it but found out it is same part used in a 1990 Ford Aerostar available in an auto parts store for 15.00 to 25.00.  Thanks
