FUSE LOCATION

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THE FUSE FOR THE ELECTRIC HOSE REEL IS LOCATED ON MY 2007 CONTESSA. MY SWITCH STUCK IN THE ON POSITION FOR JUST A SECOND AND EVIDENTLY BLEW THE FUSE. I CHECKED THE SWITCH AND IT IS OK BUT NO POWER TO IT. I HAVE TESTED EVERY FUSE I KNOW ABOUT AND ALL ARE OK.
I HAD TO HAVE THE BISCUIT BURNER HOLD THE CORD TO KEEP IT FROM DRAGGING ON THE PAVEMENT AND RUN ALONG BEHIND ME. GOOD THING I-5 WASN'T TO BUSY. BY THE TIME WE GOT TO THE ORANGE GROVE RV PARK SHE SAID SHE WAS PRETTY TIRED AND WASN'T GOING TO DO IT AGAIN TOMORROW.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP OR INFO YOU CAN PROVIDE.

I can't help you, but after I read your post I thought "this man is from Portland, Oregon" and sure enough, nearby Damascus. Must have been a KEX radion Barney Keep listener............biscuit burner was his term for his wife.

Good question. I have the same coach with a cord reel switch that likes to stick on when pulling the cord in. So, I went looking too. I checked the left front electric bay and the bathroom panels, finding nothing that indicated the cord reel. The black covered box (Intellitec) seems to have all the catchall fuses in it. I have a hand written note in mine that one is "thermostats". I presume you've probably checked all those fuses with a test light already, but that's as close as I could come to finding it.

I am interested in your eventual solution though, so when you find it, please post the answer.

I suspect mine has nothing to do with yours, but for the record for future searches, mine is on a DC breaker panel in the rear closet and is labeled "Power Reel Bed Slide Motor"

Let's talk about sticky switches while we are here though.  When I first got my coach my switch seemed to be intermittent in both the in and out position.  I could usually make it work by switching it over and over.  One day, when putting in the cord, I inadvertently switched the switch too far and it ended up in the out position.  It happened that was a day it was being intermittent.  The motor did not come on. I drove off and 10 miles down I-70,with guard rails on both sides, a passing car honked and pointed.  I looked in the mirror to see some 60 feet of cable dragging behind me.  That was the day that I found out where the breaker was.

Radio Shack sells these switches pretty cheap!

In our 07 Contessa, the power cord reel fuse is located in the box in the rear passenger side compartment where the main shut-off switches are located.  Blew ours a year ago and had quite a time finding the fuse.  Hope this helps.

Finally got the internet hooked back up.
Thanks for all the replies to date. I will be spending some time today searching for the fuse.
I do have some fuses in the curb side rear compartment that I forgot about; so I will be checking them.

Yes Jim I was an avid listener to Barny Keep's Keep Time Show in the AM.

Thanks again for everyone's replies.

I loved the B.B comment, but my DW would kill me if I referred to her like that, especially since it is sometimes true. I also have some electrical stuff under the bed behind a panel. I have no idea what's in there, but I saw the sign when I was installing a safe under there the other day.
