Another Tire Question

Marty and Suzie Schenck:
You can also go with Firestone. 3 years ago I put them on my 2002 Thunder and was very pleased with the ride and the price. I believe they were Firestone 275/70R 22.5 FS165. Les Schwab in Junction City, Or. installed them. I would have put the same on my 2004 Thunder but they don't make them in 295/75R 22.5.

Mike, as I recall you and I live in the same area.  Where do you like to get tires?

Hi Jerry,
I have not needed to buy any tires for my Coach yet (thankfully PO just installed new tires before I bought it from him).
I have used "Boulevard Tires" for various tire services (and when I worked at OIA we used them too).  http://www.boulevardtire.com/
But have not compared their new tire prices to any other local shops.
Good luck.

Jerry Emert:
To close this thread.  I decided on the Sumitomos.  Hankooks and Toyos are hard to find in my size.  Replacing the steers tomorrow.  The rest over the next year or so.  Roughly 400 a tire out the door.  Thanks for advice.
Jerry

Jerry Emert:
Just FYI.  I looked at the rest of my tires and saw some cracking in the sidewalls.  None of the cracks looked real bad but decided to just bite the bullet and replace the main 6!  Took the inside duals and put them on the tags.  6 new Sumatomos at $2560.10 out the door.  First impression was that handling and ride improved substantially.  That may be just new tire syndrome!  Tires were all dated Dec 17-Feb 18.  Close enough.

Mike Tomas:
OK Jerry-

How are the Sumitomos holding up???

Right now I have a choice of the Sumitomos 727  and the Continental HSR-2s witch seem a bit pricy on the surface. I'm assuming the Continentals are more highly regarded?  Toyo's would be my first choice, but are not available before our next trip.
