Steve / Dave / Everyone,

I adjusted the horizontal , thanks to your and others help- thank you all.

I now have the adjustment of seating the slide.

As the slide is in at the front and fully seated - the rear which was the horizontal adjustment - is out by 1/2" to 3/4" , not seated and will leak into the coach as it is now.

Is there an adjustment point - maybe the gear - which will allow the rear of the slide to seat better?

Thank you

Tom,
Check the plate(s) you installed. If  any of them is too long it could cause the problem you are describing.

Steve,

The bottom seats correctly.
The top is the problem.

I extended the new plate 7/16"(thick) along the slide-out within inch or two leeway at the inboard roller and 9/16 (thick) with 2" leeway on the outboard roller.
The plate is always on the rollers either in or out.

The seal is somewhat screwey since it has been drooping since I have owned the coach.
I will take the extra outboard 1/8" plate out to try that ??

If I lifted the slide too high - I might have allowed the gear to jump a few teeth ???

Thank You

Tom

Tom, Do a search on Stone Vos-Run by Chris Throgmartin[urlhttp://stonevoss.com/][/url], although his business is awnings, he is really good with slide out issues on Monaco based coaches such as our Beavers. Very willing to lend a hand.

Tom,
Is it possible that the 7/16" increase in height is causing the top of the slide to impact something on its way in?

Steve,

Yes,

I am planning on removind 1/16 - 1/8" from that shim plate and adding 1/8 or so to the opp end.

Currently I am using plywood to (dry fit) the entire project.

Going along an hour or two at a time before getting to the final solution of aluminum or steel.

When I looked closely at the alignment of the slide the extensive plate height scued the square.

It is very much like fitting a large picture window into an opening.
I need all plumb, square and even and I don't have that yet - but I am getting closer thanks to you.

I appreciate your help - as always
