2000 Beaver Marquis Dash Heat/Airflow
« on: March 23, 2011, 07:17:16 PM »
Problem is no heating and blowing air on drivers side of dash. Passenger side continued to have heat and controlled airflow. After about 3 hours using passenger side to heat both sides, destination was reached and just before turning dash off, passenger control pushbutten light faded out. Have looked for inline fuses under dash and looked for clues in electrical bay. Nothing materialized. Has anyone had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Jerry,
Since you lost the passenger's side control light as well as the driver's side blower motor, the first thing that I would check is the A/C control panel. The only way to diagnose an electrical problem like this, is to take a good voltmeter and find out were the power stops.

If there is power in and out of the control panel to the blower motor, go to the driver's blower motor, and if there is power to it you have a bad motor. If not, trace the circuit back until you locate the open in the circuit.
