Red Hat Valve

We noticed the Auto Fill switch could be off and still there is a small amount of fresh water creeping from the city water to the fresh tank last summer.  We ordered a new Red Hat off of Ebay because the price was right but didn't get around to replacing the original so now was a good time.  After careful replacement and yes pictures of the connections and plumbing we got the new one installed.  Pressure test for leaks and test the autofill with no water going to the tank. 
Asco it seems puts out a red hat catalogue number that is the same for 12V and for 110 with the only difference being the 'SC' ahead of the number.  All of the values on the face plate were the same as shown online prior to our purchase.  The difference is noted on the top of the solenoid green housing where non colored numbers simply burned into the plastic indicated 110V.  The old one had been 12V.
Moral to this story is when ordering a new Red Hat, make sure the catalogue numbers are exactly and only the same as your old one.
We are now hoping this fixes the Auto Fill issue.  The next option is replacing the water pump check valve.

The update:
Hours have passed since installing the Red Hat a second time.  (The 110V mistake was used for parts to fix the original).
The amount of water getting in the fresh tank is small but will fill the tank in time.  Rebuilding the Red Hat did not resolve this so it is back in the little bay for a new water pump install.

Thanks Roy , it is easy to do.  Was yours leaking to the tank like mine?

If you've got an Aqua Jet pump, they have a check valve that fits in the output port. Cheaper than a new pump. If you do buy a new pump be aware that Aqua Jet will not honor the 2 yr warrantee if you purchase it from Amazon since Amazon buys the pump from a 3rd party and not from Aqua Jet. However, Amazon will only honor their 30 day return policy and won't tell you who they buy the pump from so the 2 yr warrantee isn't worth the ink used to print it.

Steve  do you mean the check valve is an accessory but separate from the pump?  I am going to replace the pump because I have a new one but this could help others too.  Where might this check valve be available?

Yes, it is separate and fits into the output port of the pump. I got mine from Aqua Jet when I called to complain about the lack of warrantee on my year old pump with a leaking internal check valve.

Did consider this Bill and thanks for the link but I purchased a new water pump with the coach so had a spare.  This info will help others as this seems to be a common problem.

I wanted to finish this thread with an update because this topic has come up before 
The FAQ on this seems to be is it my Red Hat or my water pump that is allowing fresh water to slowly fill the fresh tank with the fill switch off.
We changed out the Red Hat and found it didnt stop the water problem.  When we changed the water pump today the tank level has remained the same.
As Bill mentions above there may be a check valve you can install instead of replacing the water pump.
A further note is that the Red Hat can be rebuilt with a kit available from Asco.  This takes about 20 minutes and saves about $125.
