Black tank leak while using Santi flush
« on: September 29, 2024, 03:31:20 PM »
Hopefully someone can direct me, 2000 Marquis, I have a water leak around the black tank area while using the Santi flush. Searching the forum, seems like it could be the vacuum break valve?
Any suggestions where valve may be located and how to get to it? Or some other cause for the leak? Thanks in advance for any help.

  Duane,
Plumbing code states that there must be a vacuum breaker any time a water source is connected to a sewage system. On your coach, across from the toilet you will see a cover half way up the wall. Remove the cover and you will see the vacuum breaker. This device closes when water pressure is present and delivers the water to the destination (sprayers attached to the black tank). The vacuum breaker opens when the water pressure is turned off. This isolates the water source from contamination. Replacement breakers are available at plumbing supply or RV parts stores. Hope this helps, Fred

Should look similar to this, but hose colors may be different.

Thank you Joel for the pic. I found the valve just where Fred said it was, only difference is they’re are a lot of electrical wires all around it in the access space. Waiting on Amazon for delivery now as it is not found locally.  Thanks again
