No Power

Have an 06 Beaver Marquis.  Started Gen it ran for about 10 mins. I was in rear of the coach put drivers side slide in bedroom
out about 18 inches.  The Gen died and I now have no power to start coach and none of the slides works. Help please. Love the
Forum.  Thanks for any info.

Found my problem.  Low batteries.  Charger had gotten turned off. Duh

Well I am back to square one. Started coach and let it run for about 15 mins  started Gen and it ran fine  put slide in in BR while coach was running everything fine. Turned engine off. Turned key back on nothing totaly dead. Gen will not start and no slides working.  would appreciate any ideas please.

Bobby,
Sure sounds like you've got discharged batteries. Check the battery voltage of both house and chassis. If one set has good voltage try starting the gen using the battery boost switch. If it starts, after about 5 minutes, check the voltage at both battery sets to ensure you are getting charging voltage (14v+) to both sets. If not you may have a faulty Bird/Big Boy, although the symptoms sound more like a bad set of batteries.

Steve Gen starts and will only run for few mins..  runs as long as I hold boost switch down. I was at back of the coach going to check voltage and I herd something sounded like a big solenoid clicking in it was a thump. As long as Gen is running everything
works. Thanks much for your help.

Bobby,
Sounds like geni may not be seeing 12v except when boost switch is depressed. Check batteries for charge state. Also, is geni displaying error code. If so, refer to manual for explanation.

Steve i cant get gen out no power.  No slides work.  No lights on dash. door lock does not work. could all this be caused by
coach batteries?  I just had new chassis batteries put in few weeks ago could something be wrong there. The coach batteries are
3 yrs old AGM. I am confuised. Thanks again for your help.

Check 12volt grounds, on the frame and at batteries. They need to be clean and tight

Might your electrical bay (streetside foremost) solenoid be failed?  Seems like most of your failed equipment is downstream from it, and as you know from frequenting here for awhile, it’s been a trouble spot for many.  Check with a voltmeter that it’s hot on both sides with the ignition key on.  The always hot side from the chassis batteries should be on your left.

Below is the legend for our Monterey which isn’t exactly like your Marquis, but shows the solenoid.  It’s commonly the Cole Hersee 24059, but double check that if you need to replace yours.

Sounds like you have a battery issue and need to go back to square one. You can’t get accurate information with low battery voltage. The batteries must be fully charged before proceeding with diagnostic purposes. That includes house and chassis. As you indicated your charger was turned off it’s a high probability the batteries are discharged.

After studying the DC power distribution for a 2006 Monterey  found in the coach assist library. it would appear the common denominator to the loss of power to both gen set and hydraulic pump would be the power coming into the power distribution fuse block as the gen set and the hydraulic pump each have their own ANL fuse ( likely 200 amp) . Assuming your coach only has air leveling.
I would check your battery connections and the manual battery disconnect it wouldn't be the first battery switch to go bad.

Want to thank all who gave advice.. Steve was right from the beginning.  It was a low batter problem. Left coach on charge
overnight and everything was ok this am.  I was getting concerned because I am leaving in 1 week on my annual Crappie fishing
trip to lake Okeechobee for a month. Again thanks to all. The forum is a life saver.  Steve you were right again.
