My 2003 Monterey needs to have the shower faucets replaced.  It is located on the bedroom bulkhead side, any suggestions on access to the rear connections on the shower faucet? I am wondering if there is access behind the mirror located in the bedroom.

On my '04 Monterey there is.  The mirror has two clips at the top that can slide up just enough to get the top of the mirror loose.  The mirror is also held there with long, wide strips of industrial grade velcro.  After I get the clips loose, I can "peel" the mirror off.

On mine there is a hole in the paneling behind the mirror to the shower valve.  It might be there because the valve was replaced early in the warranty period.  If it is not there, you will need to find a way to shallow cut the paneling.  It would be a good excuse to buy a new Rockwell Sonicrafter or equivalent!

Yes you can easily get to the everything by removing the mirror. That is the way mind was changed at Bend several years ago.

Thanks for the input.  Unfortunately I broke the mirror trying to remove it, my wife never liked one there so now we are looking for a picture.  The installation went smoothly, the hole was fine so we are back in business.  Thanks for the help, Beavers are great.

I'm so sorry.  I feel responsible for suggesting you that you could "peel" it off from the velcro.
