Aladdiin system not powering on
« on: May 08, 2026, 02:18:02 AM »
We have a 2004 Beaver Monterey Ventura.  We have owned the coach for 6 years now. The Aladdin system has worked flawlessly with the exception of 2 tank sensor replacements, until now.  We took the coach in to have new shocks installed, and when we picked the coach up, the Aladdin system was unresponsive.
No led on the joystick.  no screen display.   there is power to the monitor.  I've checked all the fuses that i can find.  I've tried the reset switch.
There is power in and out of the reset switch and to the (2) +12 pins on the engine bus terminal on the VCM.
There was a post on this forum regarding a sevond source of power to the +12swx pin on the house bus terminal on the VCM in addition to the (2) +12 pins on the bus side.
There is no power to this pin.  Does the power go through the VCM through the bus terminals on the VCM and then out of the +12 swx pin ? or does the +12 swx pin on the house bus require another power source ?
Im trying to determing if I have a VCM that is bad or an electrical power problem before I decide to replace with Silverleaf.
If I replace it with a silverleaf and have a lost power issue, then  the silverleaf most likely will work either

Thanks

Steve

Steve,
Not sure if you've referenced these docs.  The Aladdin section of Coach Assist has an Aladdin Troubleshooting Manual that includes the 04 Monterey and the Wiring section of CA has the 04 Monterey wiring dwgs that include the Aladdin.
