Solar panel tilt kit

watched a short video this morning (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JT2HwPSEHuk) and it got me thinking about putting a tilt kit on the roof solar panel. has anyone on the forum done this? My loger term intention is to add additional panels to increase the solar charging capacity.

Yes mine are tiltable.  Remove 2 bolts, add lift arms and re bolt.  If staying in one place for any time, it may be useful, however if moving frequently, it is too much work for the incremental boost in power received.  You also must park your coach in the correct direction with the tilt toward the south.  That is not always doable.  I seldom use that feature.

If I remember my physics correctly, the power in a solar panel goes as the cosine of the angle between the incoming light and the normal to the collector surface.  That means for small angles there is little benefit in tilting the collector which is why most photovoltaic panel mountings don't include that capability.
