Window rubber seal coming out
« on: March 04, 2018, 03:59:46 PM »
Another problem. Sorry to be continuously posting here - but there is a lot to learn and do as a new coach owner.

So this time, I noticed the window rubber seal is coming out at the corners on a couple of windows.

Should I spray with some silicon and try to stuff back into it track?
It looks like the rubber may have shrunk some as the seam is still up against the stop.
Is this a sign that I need to replace the seals (if yes, where do I get these)?

Mike,

Just pull the rubber piece out and clean it and the metal track with denatured alcohol.  Put it back in place and use your hand to force it back in place. Repeat every couple of years.

Mike
Nothing wrong with asking questions.  This is one that made me think too so glad to know.
There is a tool at most window companies that is used on vinyl windows that might help.  It looks like a heavy fingernail file but is smooth.  That is what came to mind for me.  Do as Karl said but this will make reinstall easier.
