Electric Water Hose Reel Replacement (2004 Beaver Marquis)
« on: April 12, 2020, 12:52:27 AM »
The 12-volt water hose reel on our 2004 Marquis has been getting weaker with each season.  I'm afraid we're gonna have to replace as it is getting too week to retract.  Is the reel the glendinning 12 volt?

I've read that removing the water cabinet panel to access it is difficult but I cannot find any documentation regarding how to remove that panel.  I've got to believe that once that water cabinet panel is removed the hose reel replacement should be relatively easy.

Any guidance or direction would be greatly appreciated... anybody know of a youtube video that shows how to do this?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  If I an get some expert guidance on removing that panel I might just have to create a youtube video for those that follow with the same need.

Thanks in advance

Getting that water bay panel out far enough can drive you nuts.  My searching found a few threads with ideas regarding getting behind that panel.

To help get the panel to open further:   http://beaveramb.org/forum/index.php/topic,5153.msg38476.html#msg38476

Reworked water manifold on back of panel door:   http://beaveramb.org/forum/index.php/topic,462.msg2476.html#msg2476

Make a three-piece panel for easier entry:   http://beaveramb.org/forum/index.php/topic,8969.msg61446.html#msg61446
