Back up camera
« on: April 25, 2023, 12:40:47 AM »
So here is. Something different;
We have left and right cams and the interior cam as well as the back up camera.  Every camera works as it should except the back up.  The back up stays on as we drive but when backing it blacks out and only comes back when I take it out of reverse.
Seems like the camera itself must be fine.  The Aladdin screen is the monitor.
Looking for suggestions.  Thanks

Keith,
Sounds like a logic rather than hardware problem. Have you tried resetting the system? See note on pg 56 of wiring diagrams.

Thanks Steve. I will look into that.  If I recall correctly a reset requires recalibrating the tanks too.?

Not sure. Check the manuals. The 06 Aladdin manual in Coach Assist states "Aladdin Reset Switch:
The Aladdin'" reset switch, located in an overhead cabinet in the cockpit area, resets the Aladdin'" to the main
menu should the system "lock up". It will not reset trip meters, compass calibration or alarm settings."
Coach Owners Manual also has a write up.

    Keith,
The trigger to turn on the camera in reverse comes from the back up lights circuit. Check and see if the back-up lights come on when in reverse. If not, the fuse is in the electrical compartment under the drivers window. Fred
