Black & Gray tank sensors not working
« on: August 30, 2023, 01:57:32 PM »
I installed a dual cartridge water filter in the city water fill line. and a bypass line with two 3way valves so I can bypass the filter to winterize. I was having problems with air trapped in the filter cartridges (housings are clear) so I closed the 3 way valve on the filter exit to try and build up pressure to get rid of the air. Somehow it filled up my gray tank with fresh water and since then my black & gray tank sensors aren't working at all. I thought the only way to get water into the gray tank is through the sink and shower drains. Is there a plumbing diagram for this coach. It is almost impossible to trace Pex tubing in such tight spaces. I removed the panel in the wet bay to troubleshoot. I can see the RJ11 connectors for the Aladdin system in the bottom of the tanks and all looks secure. any suggestions where I can look to fix this.
Thanks
Greg

Greg,
Check the Water Systems section of the 05 & 06 Owners Manuals in Coach assist for system layout diagrams (some have them).

We’ve replaced our sensors years ago and the new ones finally stopped a few years later. We now have the Sea Level system that are mounted to the outside of the tanks and can be connected to the Aladdin or not.

Thanks Steve
Coach assist did have a plumbing diagram but it shows no water supply connections to the waste tanks. the only exception is the black water flush but that has a separate water connection. any suggestions how to troubleshoot sensor problems?

Since they failed after you worked with the water filter, I'd check that area of the coach first. It's probably a connection that has been knocked loose. Many reported Aladdin issues are due to bad connections so that would be top of my list.

Any laundry device, Splendide, etc., drains to the gray tank also.   I don’t know why full normal line pressure or not would mean water finding it’s way to the gray tank without going by way of a drain somewhere.  You can see all the drain pipes entering it by looking in the curbside waste tank bay.
