Air Bags
« on: April 28, 2025, 11:32:52 PM »
I have seen some questions on the forum regarding air bags. I ran across the receipt from when I ordered new air bags for the front of my 98 Marquis. My coach is on the magnum chassis.
I ordered them from a company called Surplusmiser LLC, but I’m sure there are others that will have them available. The part number I have are Goodyear #1R11-121 rolling lobe air spring. Goodyear no longer makes air bags but this was there number for the magnum chassis's and suppliers should be able to cross reference this number. The problem comes in that Beaver re-clocked the base of this air bag about 10 to 15 degrees so that they would have a different part number. That’s not a big deal to fix, you loosen the nut on the bottom and pull the base loose, turn it and retighten the nut. When I had to have some extensive work done on the rear suspension some years ago I had the shop replace the rear air bags and they had to do the same for the air bags. You don’t want to twist the bag and install it that would cause it to fail prematurely.
        I cannot say
how many year models they used this bag on but I would not be surprised to find it used on 2002 or above. .
this worked for me and I replaced my front air bags myself at my house. It was not a lot of fun but I got it done.
       Hope this is some help.
