AC Power tripping generator and shore power
« on: August 08, 2025, 07:50:50 PM »
I have a 2003 Patriot Thunder. Dry camped all last week. On the second day, the generator would not run more than 30 seconds. Hooked another generator up to shore power. Same result. I manged to get through the week by charging using alternator to charge house batteries. This only happens when the interter circuit is on. I can run all AC circuits until I turn the inverter circuit on. No faults on inverter or generator. The inverter is original so it is probably due. But any other suggestions to troubleshoot?
Thanks
Mike

I figured out the issue. The big boy isolater failed. I replaced it with a much simpler battery isolation manager.
