Calibrating Tank Levels
« on: April 30, 2012, 05:30:35 PM »
Ok, I installed my new tank level pressure sensors. My grey tank empty raw reading was 48, so I entered that for empty. The book said my tank measurement was 330 so I entered 348 for my full. I then ran water in the shower to fill it to see if my full calibration was close. When the water finally started to back up in the shower, the full raw reading on the Aladdin was 907. Could this be right? My full on the fresh water tank is 558 for a 100 gallon tank. It seems like 907 for the grey is a high pressure reading, but I'm not leaking water on the ground so maybe that's just what it is. Anyway, thought I would ask those of you smarter than me. Any feedback is appreciated.

Thank you!

I can not explain the difference, but I did detect a math error.  If the empty reading is 48 and full is 330, then the full should read 378, not 348.  Not much help, but a little closer.

Thank you, yes your right. I can't explain why the raw reading is so high unless it has to do with back pressure from the drain pipes. I'm not seeing any issues as far as water coming out of drains, it is only standing in the shower drain so it's definitely full. I guess I will just enter 900 for my full calibration and give it a try. As long as its not creating other issues I guess that's what it is. It's too bad you can't physically see the level in the grey and black like you can the fresh.
