Wiring question for 2005 Beaver
« on: May 29, 2012, 10:02:03 PM »
We recently had a right front tire blow out on our 2005 Beaver Monterey coach.  It took out the wire loom that went thru the wheel well. The company doing the repair is having problems locating the module that operates the locks for the compartments and also the wire to the electric step. I have the wiring diagram and all the books but they can't seem to find these two wires. They have replaced the key less entry and it works as does the lock on the door.

On my '06 Monterey the door lock module is under the dash cover on top of the divers side.  Found it when we reprogammed our remote keys.
Hope this helps!

Also have wiring diagram for the module!

I have the wiring diagram for the coach. I am talking about the storage doors locking system. They have the front door and keyless entry working. Is this diagram something different that you have? I will relay the info. Thanks

The black module under the dash access panel should control all locks, bays or otherwise.  Some have had to reset their modules, as per threads on this Forum from months and years past.  Try a search of the Forum.

Be patient, others here will likely chime in with more info for you.

Yes, The diagram I'm talking about is for the door locking system wiring to the module.  It's a Magnadyne document.  PM me with your e-mail and I can send to you if it would help!

On this same unit does anyone know where the box is to reset the fobs? The keypad is an Essex Electronics model KE 1701. The technician can't seem to find it. He looked under the dash and just about everywhere else.

We found it on our Patriot Thunder under the passenger window.  The wall was removable and it was located in that space.  Good luck.

On my 2005 Beaver, the module is under the access panel on the dash located directly in front of the driver.  It's black, about the size of a deck of cards and has a reset button wired to it along with what looks like an unconnected cable (yellow cable if I remember correctly).  To reprogram your remote, you'll need to find the other end of the cable (mine wasn't too far away) and you'll need the reset button as well.

Hope that helps!
