Sharp Aquos Model Tuga1US stuck in standby mode
« on: September 24, 2012, 09:59:33 PM »
Just wondering if anybody has ever had a problem with their Sharp LCD (original equipment in 2005) with separate tuner get stuck in standby mode -power indicator stays red when attempting to power up the unit. My unit for the first time ever would not power up (AC114-117) but after three days it now powers up. I've never had a problem so wondering if anyone else has and if they found the issues. Thx in advance!

I had the same type tv in my 2004 Marquis and it did the same thing just before it totally failed. Luckily I found a refurbished one that was the same model. Lucky! If you have to replace go with Sony or Sharp and you will have to rewire due to the tuner being in the tv and not separate as in the Aquos. Also newer LED's use less energy.

Our 32" LC-32GA5U Aquos didn't get stuck in standby mode, but in the high heat this summer it would turn back on by itself a few seconds after we turned it off.  After leaving the heat and humidity of Nebraska, it quit giving us the problem.
