Tank Readings

The tank readings on my Alladin (2005 Monterey) are really screwed up.  With at least 1/2 grey tank, the Alladin reads 0.  With nothing in the black tank, Alladin reads 60 gallons (only 50 gallon capacity).  I reset my Alladin with the reset button, but that did not help.  I looked at all the interface modules in the tank bay and everything seems to be connected tight.  Can the tank module be bad?  Anyone else had this problem.  I don't worry so much when at sewer, but it is really necessary when dry camping.

The Alladin tank capacities may need to be recalibrated.  I just recalibrated mine and they seem to be pretty accurate now.  The tanks are calibrated by using the Alladin Calibration on the menu.  Fill them up and take a reading and then empty them and take a reading.  It does not matter in what order you take the readings first, either empty or full as long as you take the second reading.

Dennis, Tim recently posted my Alladin System Users Manual in the Coach Assist area, accessible via the Private BAC Members Only section of this Forum's Home page.  Page 12 will guide your recalibration as per Chuck's advice.

EC means Empty Calibration, and FC means Full Calibration in the instructions.  The system needs to relearn where those extremes are, then by sensing the weight of fluid, it can report those extremes and any volume of liquid in between.
