Windshield cracked

Parked at dale hollow lake resort park Kentucky, with  cracks in the upper corner on the drivers side. 2006 Monterey 40'. Ready to head back south to FL, looking for input on a good facility near by that could do a new windshield.
I have duck taped inside/out ,as the cracks started to separate slightly. I have calls in to Monaco, and lee smith in Chattanooga. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Lloyd,
Call RV Glass Solutions at  (888) 777-6778. They have contacts all over the country, and a very large inventory of windshields, so they will probably be able to solve your windshield problem in a very convenient way for you.

Hi Lloyd, if possible get it done local to your home. This way the glass can "set" for as long as you can let it. You can go back if you have a leak or warranty issue. Some glass companies will do the job at your house. I went through my insurance-deductible was $100. Before you take the rig to a shop ask them for the name of the company who is doing the work and "google" the company name to see if they are reputable. If the body shop say's they do the install themselves I personally wouldn't let them do it. I've had two windshields replaced recently.

That era of Montereys seems to have had installation issues.  Ours cracked the same as yours just sitting on its home pad overwinter.  They can't take much of a catty wampus slope, and our left rear airbag tended to lose over time, twisting the body enough to stress the front cap.  Now my pad is sloped a tad to the rear but not side to side, and I dump all the air before storage.

Monaco at Harrisburg replaced the windshield and noted improper factory installation, exacerbating any off kilter parking causation.  I concur with Gerald's suggestion to contact RV Glass Solutions.  They seem to know what they are doing and understand proper installation, whether two piece windshields or the more sensitive one piece like yours and ours.  There's a good chance they can come to you with their equipment to do the job, as other BAC members have discovered.

Well after speaking with those I had placed calls to we made the decision to trek back to Florida and have an appoinment with Alliance in Wildwood. They have our windshield there , and its close enough to home should there be any glitches.
This decision was concurrent with the Monaco Tech in Coburn, so we'll take a gentle ride south, currently stopped in Crossville, Tn. I have been in the back ground for months reading posts on the forum, which I really appreciate. Am thankful for the input to offer guidance. Joel , have paid special attention to Your replies with respect to similar model years.  Thank You, Lloyd

Recently had the Windshield in my 06 Monterey replaced by Alliance Coach. Since replacement I have driven the coach to South Carolina and returned to Florida with no problems..even drove thru some rain with no leaks.
