Shoreline Voltage

I found a storage site that offered 30 AMP power for our 1997 Marquis. After winterizing it, I delivered it and checked the plug using a voltmeter. It showed 132 volts. I tried another meter which showed the same. Even though there was Monaco plugged into the same box (different circuit), I am very leary of plugging in and expressed that to the storage site owner. Of course, he mentioned the Monaco and stated he hadn't had any problems - doesn't want to call in an electrician to check it. Am I being overly concerned about the higher voltage? I just want to have electricity to keep the batteries charged and power a small, portable 1200W heater in the coach! Presently, I have turned everything off including the inverter/charger and battery disconnects.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

Xantrex has an input voltage requirement of 90 to 135V AC so that is probably O.K. I do not know about the electric heater perhaps it may start over heating based on that line voltage, I would give the power company a call and see if they will adjust the transformer tap wherever the problem lies. Most power companies like to hold line voltage with 120 +/- 5%. Other electronics may have an issue, hard to know for sure.

If you have to live with it shut off all AC breakers that you do not need and monitor the heater the first time you use it and see if it performs as expected without excessively hot coils and output. Most have an overheat and tip sensor.
