Slide Adjustments

My coach has reached the ten year point and needs the slide height adjusted. Although I do my own repairs, this is one area that probably requires a shop and jacks. This is a Monaco made Beaver and all 3 slides are electric. Over time the slides appear to have settled (dropped) in height. I make that analysis based on the increased clearance at the top of the slides and the fact that the seals at the bottom of the slides are pinched over (folded in) and remain that way when the slides are extended. I also seem to have increased drag when the slides are extended or retracted. I am a fulltimer, so I can go anywhere to have this done. I am currently in El Mirage, AZ (NW Phoenix) for the winter.
I imagine BCS is probably the best place, but I wanted to hear from others who have had this done. I know it will be labor intensive, so I want it done right the first time.
Thanks, Bill

I had a leak on a slide on my  Monterey fixed at Elite RV & Remodel in Harrisburg, OR.  Three guys that used to work for Monaco opened their own shop and they know Monacos and Beavers.  I went there expecting to pay around $1500 for new seals and it took them 2 hours and $326 to fix my leaks. They said I didn't need new seals and just fixed a couple of holes in my current seals. They are good and they are fair.  Call Eric at (541)-255-6231.

Bill,
The underside of the slide has probably given way a bit where the rollers contact it, especially in the closed position. Bring slide out a bit adn see if you can find an indented area where rollers rested. Fix is to insert a metal plate (3/8-1/4' thick depending on amount of sag) on the underside that the rollers will contact. I did it on my Contessa. Used 2 high-lift (farm) jacks to raise the slide enough to get the metal inserted. Camper jacks will also work. In the Phoenix area, you might want to contact RV Renovators in Mesa. Otherwise,I'd go to BCS if I were in OR area.

I'm sorry I have to disagree about RV Renovators....their expertise in my opinion and those of others I know has been less than satisfactory.
I personally would opt for BCS in Bend.  They have fixed some alignment slide problems for me and they know what they are doing for sure.
Just my two cents worth.
