Thank you for all the input. I think a longer flex hose will do the trick. I also called Erick at Elite Rv in Harrisburg for his opinion. The 3 guys that own Elite, worked in the Monaco factory. (like many of the guys at Beaver Sales in Bend) He said over time the flex hose used by Monaco becomes stiff and to rigid. That sure seems to be the situation with mine. He suggested replacing it with new flex hose. He said they use a barbed fitting on the PVC to the flex hose and clamp it with a heavy duty clamp. This seems to be the best route to go.
