Day and night shades in Bedroom
« on: July 15, 2015, 02:38:50 AM »
Our day and night shades bit the dust on the drivers side bedroom window. The string broke and they will no longer retract on one side. I see a piece of thin string broken and laying in the bottom. Is there an easy fix or a hard fix or am I better off to get rid of them and find another answer. I am not particularly fond of them anyway but my wife is. You can see shadows of us from outside at night anyway. I have an 98 Patriot. I could use some opinions. I like wooden shades but I think the boxes are not wide enough for them.

Hi Gary,

Hate it when that happens.  There are several good videos on YouTube on how to restring  a day/night shade that may be helpful.   Here's an example:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5v3sejW-4s
Good luck  Jim
