You can retract the awning manually with the crank if necessary. I think the sensor control is above the door/passenger sea, but not clear why you suspect the wind sensor. From what you posted, I'd check to see if the switch is functional since you have power going to the awning. If the motor runs but it doesn't retract, the switch is probably OK and you could have a support arm that is binding. Try cranking the awning in a bit and then try the switch to bring it in automatically. If this works, the awning needs adjustment. If all else fails call Girard tomorrow. They (usually Andre) are pretty good at talking one through troubleshooting.
